About Bang Khiat Subdistrict
Bang Khiat (ตำบลบางเขียด) is a subdistrict in Singhanakhon District, Songkhla. University research describes five villages, while district agricultural planning identifies Songkhla Lake fishing as part of local livelihoods.
Provincial Community Development Department records identify a local fish-processing group in village 5 producing pla som, a fermented fish product. This adds a specific food-production connection to the wider lakeside community landscape, without treating the whole tambon as one market or visitor centre.
Arrange any producer or fishing-community visit directly with a host and confirm the village address. Check weather and access before waterside travel. Food-group registration does not establish a public shop schedule, boat service or demonstration programme.
