What has changed
Thailand recorded 538,661 international tourist arrivals in the week of 25–31 October, up 7.31% from the previous week. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports figures reported on 4 November show about 36,700 additional arrivals across the seven days, with the largest contribution to the rise coming from long-haul markets.
Long-haul markets lead the rise
Long-haul arrivals reached 227,153, up 13.6% from the previous week. Short-haul arrivals reached 311,508, a smaller increase of 3.14%. Malaysia remained the biggest source market for the week with 61,842 arrivals, followed by China at 51,479 and Russia at 44,499.
Russia’s total rose 27.19% compared with the previous week, while arrivals from India fell 14.98% to 40,884. The comparison covers two consecutive weeks, so those figures measure the change as Thailand moves towards its winter travel season.
The year-to-date total remains below 2025
The ministry’s preliminary workbook puts the cumulative count through 31 October at 25,464,306. Money & Banking reported that the figure was 4.59% lower than for the same ten months in 2025. China, Malaysia and India led the cumulative count. The stronger final week of October and the lower year-to-date total measure different periods.
The figures describe arrivals across Thailand. Conditions can vary by destination, flight route and travel date. The tourism ministry flagged possible changes to some flight schedules, particularly on routes from Russia, as a factor to watch. Travellers making onward arrangements should confirm their actual itinerary with their carrier.
