About Bang Kung Subdistrict

Bang Kung (บางกุ้ง) belongs to Mueang Surat Thani District. Official 2026 education-office reporting locates the Tapi river-mouth commemorative area within this tambon. The city authority identifies Wat Pho Nimit, also called Wat Bang Kung, here, while the regional fisheries inspection centre gives its address on Pak Nam Road in village 3. These are separate destinations in the wider administrative area, not alternative names for one attraction.

Specify whether the destination is the river-mouth area, the temple or a particular address on Pak Nam Road. Operational fisheries premises have their own access arrangements. The administrative reference centre does not identify a public pier, shrine entrance or office reception.
