About Bang Maphrao Subdistrict

Bang Maphrao (บางมะพร้าว) is a subdistrict southeast of the Lang Suan district-centre area in Chumphon. The local authority identifies the Lang Suan River on its northern boundary and the Gulf of Thailand to the east.

The ground generally slopes towards the coast, with hillier land on the western side. Na Phaya lies to the south, while Khlong Bang Ka and Pho Daeng mark the inland side.

This setting combines a river-mouth edge, coastal land and inland village areas. Bang Maphrao is therefore wider than a single beach or waterfront destination. A named village or individual-site address is useful for distinguishing the riverbank from the coast and the higher western communities.
