About Bang Riang Subdistrict
Bang Riang (ตำบลบางเหรียง) is a subdistrict in Khuan Niang District, Songkhla. Its municipality describes settlements along Khlong Bang Riang and connections towards Songkhla Lake.
The local history identifies Bang Riang Tok, Bang Riang Bon and Bang Riang Tai, and recalls produce trading by boat and rail. Vegetable cultivation developed alongside earlier fruit and betel-growing livelihoods. Royal project documentation describes irrigation improvements serving Bang Riang together with neighbouring Rattaphum, rather than only one tambon.
