About Bang Riang Subdistrict
Bang Riang (บางเหรียง) is a subdistrict of Thap Put in Phangnga. The provincial Buddhist office places Wat Rat Upatham, commonly called Wat Bang Riang, on Khao Lan, approached from the district centre along Highway 4118.
The temple's hill setting and large chedi provide a particular focus for religious and architectural interest. Thap Put Police identifies Bang Riang as a separate five-village tambon within its district coverage. A temple visit should use the temple entrance and current respectful visiting arrangements; the tambon reference point represents the broader community area.
