About Bang Thong Subdistrict
Bang Thong (บางทอง) is a subdistrict of Thai Mueang in Phangnga. The Land Development Department describes steep surrounding land with central plains and foothill slopes, together with some gently rolling ground.
The western high ground lies in the Khao Lampi–Hat Thai Mueang National Park setting. Named waterways include Khlong Bang Thong, Khlong Phru, Khlong Bang Khla and Khlong Na Dam. This is a wider administrative landscape, not a park access point. Bang Thong in Thai Mueang should be distinguished from similarly named communities and temples in neighbouring provinces.
