About Chang Khwa Subdistrict

Chang Khwa (ตำบลช้างขวา) is a subdistrict in Kanchanadit District, Surat Thani. It is distinct from neighbouring Chang Sai, although the paired names share an attributed local story about elephants taking different directions.

Government-funded local research describes flat areas mixed with rolling slopes and scattered hills, crossed by natural and artificial channels. Named waterways include Khlong Thap Thon, Khrian and Phra Pit, while village communities include Nong Yo, Sai To, Phut and Mamuang Wan. The same research explains the area's varied flood exposure.

Use Chang Khwa and a specific village address when arranging a journey. Historical flood research is useful landscape context, not a live warning. Check current local roads and weather rather than assuming all communities have the same access from the administrative point.
