About Don Subdistrict

Don (ตำบลดอน) is a subdistrict in Panare District, Pattani. The local authority explains its name through raised ground that remained above surrounding flooded rice fields, a place-name account preserved in community memory.

Named villages include Ban Rawo, Ban Khlong, Ban Hua Non, Don Tawan Ok, Yang Ngam and Pa Sak in the Land Development Department's plan. The contrast between higher residential ground and lower agricultural land is central to local orientation. Irrigation canals cross the area, while rice cultivation depends on water supply and drainage conditions.

Specify Panare District and the village name when arranging transport. Check routes after prolonged rain and seek permission before entering rice fields or canal structures. The locality's traditional association with higher land should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every road or household is flood-free.
