About Kalase Subdistrict
Kalase (กะลาเส) is a subdistrict of Sikao District, Trang. Its council describes low mountains towards the north and east, with Khlong Chi and Thon Chae reserved-forest areas forming part of the local landscape.
The council characterises settlement as dispersed groups of houses rather than one compact town, with Ban Ton in Moo 7 among the more concentrated communities. Wat Kamon Si is a named local religious site.
The council also records a local naming tradition connecting Kalase with the word for sailors, but this does not establish a verified ancient port. For a village or temple visit, obtain the specific address; the administrative point is not an entrance into forest land.
