About Kapong Subdistrict
Kapong (ตำบลกะปง) is a subdistrict in Kapong District, Phang Nga. It is one of the district's five tambons, alongside Tha Na, Rommani, Mo and Le.
Royal Forest Department records identify Bang Kum, Ban Kapong and Tha Kadai in this tambon, documenting local participation in the community-forest network. Provincial agricultural material also lists Bang Kum as a community-development locality. August 2026 district reporting discusses Kapong and Tha Na as separate tambons involved in shared local development work.
Specify the village and tambon when arranging a visit, since district services and the Tha Na local administration may refer to a wider service area. Community-forest membership does not establish a public trail or guided visit; confirm access with the relevant village group.
