About Khao Rup Chang Subdistrict
Khao Rup Chang (เขารูปช้าง) is a subdistrict of Mueang Songkhla. Songkhla Rajabhat University is located on Kanchanawanit Road in Village 4, giving the area an important educational role alongside its residential communities.
The university's humanities faculty documents local cultural work involving Wat Khao Kao Saen, Wat Ko Tham, Ho Wichian Thewathamrong and the Thuat Chang pagoda. These are individual sites within a wider local setting, with their own entrances and arrangements. The tambon should also be distinguished from similarly named temples elsewhere in Thailand; this page concerns the Songkhla administrative area.
