About Khuan Pring Subdistrict

Khuan Pring (ควนปริง) is a subdistrict of Mueang Trang District. It combines settled communities with farming and local craft production, separate from Trang's central municipal area.

The Anthropology Centre documents Ban Na Po's blacksmithing tradition and its network of makers producing knives and machetes. These are working craft enterprises within a wider community. The local authority also describes low-lying ground in several villages where flooding has occurred during wet periods, making the actual village route relevant to travel planning.

Arrange a forge or craft visit with a named maker before travelling; working equipment and household premises are not automatically open to walk-in visitors. Ask before photographing production and follow the maker's instructions around tools. Check the final approach after heavy rain, and use the workshop address rather than the whole-subdistrict reference point.
