Confirm the permitted boat route and landingAbout Ko Bon
This Ko Bon is the Phang Nga island within Mu Ko Similan National Park, between the main numbered islands and Ko Tachai. It belongs to Ko Phra Thong Subdistrict in Khura Buri District. A different Ko Bon lies close to Rawai on Phuket and requires a completely different journey.
Setting and highlights
Rocky shores and underwater ridges shape the experience here. Dive operators visit the waters for reef life and possible manta-ray encounters, but sightings are never guaranteed. Treat this as an offshore dive destination rather than a serviced beach village.
Getting there
Arrange the visit through a licensed dive operator that confirms the actual site, your certification and the sea conditions. Itineraries may combine Ko Bon with other Similan or northern Andaman sites, so check the departure pier and which locations are included.
Planning your visit
Similan access is seasonal and individual sites may have additional restrictions. Check current park permission and ticket requirements before departure. The island reference point is not a dive-entry coordinate; currents, depth and boat procedures require a qualified briefing.
