About Ko Klang
The island community belongs to Khlong Prasong Subdistrict in Mueang Krabi District. It is distinct from Ko Klang Subdistrict in Ko Lanta District and from same-named islands elsewhere. Fishing and farming continue alongside community tourism, including demonstrations of batik and miniature hua thong boats. This is a lived-in river-estuary landscape rather than an offshore resort island.
The government community guide describes crossing by longtail boat from Chao Fah Pier to Hin Pier. Confirm the current route and return boat locally. Bicycles and local shuttle arrangements allow exploration between community activities, and homestays provide an overnight option. Arrange demonstrations with hosts, dress respectfully and ask before photographing residents or entering working areas.
