Ko Miang is one of the central islands of Mu Ko Similan National Park and is commonly known as island four. It belongs administratively to Ko Phra Thong Subdistrict in Khura Buri District, Phang Nga. The island is a distinct beach and nature stop within the wider Similan archipelago.
Hat Na and Hat Lek are the island's two named beaches. The park's Ko Miang ranger unit is based here, and DNP has documented sea-turtle nesting at Hat Lek. Beach habitat and marine life are part of the island's conservation importance; keep away from marked nests and follow ranger instructions rather than approaching wildlife.
Access is by authorised park boat trips and depends on the operating season and weather. Confirm the actual beach stops, permitted activities and ticket arrangements with the operator. TAT reported that the Similans reopened on 15 October 2026. Do not infer accommodation availability from older accounts of park facilities, and check the latest park notice before travelling.
