About Ko Mook (Ko Muk)

The island combines fishing, rubber cultivation and tourism in a largely Muslim community. Farang Beach and Sabai Beach are named coastal highlights; Tham Morakot, or Emerald Cave, is a separate coastal attraction on the western side. The island lies in Ko Libong Subdistrict, Kantang District, rather than being a subdistrict of its own.

Arrange a boat transfer and identify the arrival pier and onward journey to your accommodation. Emerald Cave requires separate planning: tides, sea conditions and park restrictions determine whether entry is safe, and a local guide is recommended. A visit to the island does not guarantee cave access. The announced June–September 2026 closure period has passed; confirm current park notices for the cave and protected visitor areas before booking an excursion.
