Ko Nang Yuan lies just off northwestern Ko Tao and is administered within Ko Tao Subdistrict, Ko Pha-ngan District. Three small islets are linked by sandbars, creating the distinctive landscape seen from the viewpoint. The geographic place is separate from its resort and diving businesses.
The sandbars, hill viewpoint and reef areas such as Japanese Gardens are the main visitor interests. The viewpoint walk has steep sections, so allow for heat and suitable footwear. Access is managed by the island operator; day visitors and overnight resort guests have different access arrangements.
The operator's visitor page reviewed in October 2026 lists day admission from 10:00 to 15:00 and an entrance fee of 250 baht per person, with the fee included for resort guests. This supersedes lower fees still shown in older tourism material. Taxi boats leave Mae Haad or Sairee on Ko Tao; agree the return crossing. Operator rules prohibit single-use plastic bottles, snorkeling fins, drones, beach smoking and loud music. Confirm current conditions and charges before travelling.
