About this place

Ko Sak lies just north of Ko Lan off Pattaya. DMCR assigns the island to Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District. The island's curved shape encloses a northern bay, with another smaller beach on the opposite side. It is not one of the Samae San islands. A university field study documents the island's two beaches, wooded slopes, rocky side coasts and reef in the northern bay. A path links the beach areas. These physical features make Sak a distinct stop on some Pattaya-area boat excursions rather than another name for Ko Lan. Arrange a boat itinerary that explicitly names Ko Sak and confirms whether it includes a permitted beach landing or only a reef stop. Ask about current facilities, activity supervision and return arrangements; older field-study amenities do not guarantee today's services. Swimming and snorkeling depend on boat traffic, weather and sea conditions. Use designated areas and avoid standing on coral. No regular public ferry or unrestricted overnight access is confirmed.
