About Ko Sichang

Ko Sichang is the main inhabited island of the Sichang group off Si Racha in Chon Buri. It lies in Tha Thewawong Subdistrict and shares its name with a larger administrative district. This page represents the physical island, not the whole district.

The former royal summer-palace grounds, Chao Pho Khao Yai shrine, coastal viewpoints and Tham Phang Beach give the island both cultural and seaside interest. The eastern side contains the principal settlement and landing area. Fishing remains part of community life, alongside accommodation and visitor services.

Passenger boats use Ko Loi in Si Racha for the crossing; confirm current departures, fares and the last return at the pier. Local samlor vehicles are a common way to arrange an island sightseeing route. Agree the stops and price before setting off. A day trip or overnight stay can work, but accommodation should be confirmed separately. Respect shrine etiquette and check each heritage site's opening arrangements rather than assuming island-wide hours.
