About Ko Taeo Subdistrict

Ko Taeo (เกาะแต้ว) is a subdistrict of Mueang Songkhla, extending along the mainland coast south of the city. Its neighbours include Khao Rup Chang to the north and Phawong inland. Despite the word ko in its name, this administrative destination should not be mistaken for a separate offshore island.

The municipality traces the name to clusters of taeo trees around the original Ko Taeo community. Its local profile describes rice and vegetable cultivation, rubber growing and livestock alongside established villages. Ban Dan and Bo It are useful locality names when checking an address; the tambon reference point represents the wider area rather than a beach entrance.
