About Ko Takiang

This Ko Takiang is the Satun island also recorded as Ko Lela, at approximately 6.7322°N, 99.7061°E. It must be distinguished from the Ko Takiang associated with Ko Sukon and the Lao Liang route in Trang; their descriptions and visitor arrangements are not interchangeable.

Setting and highlights

The Satun location is corroborated by the geographic gazetteer. A Department of National Parks report dated October 2026 describes conservation and visitor-readiness work at Ko Takiang in Mueang Satun District.

Getting there

When arranging a boat visit, give the operator the Satun location and the name Ko Lela as well as Ko Takiang. Confirm that the destination on the booking is this island rather than the Trang namesake.

Planning your visit

Specify the Satun island and confirm the permitted landing arrangements before travelling. Do not use the Trang island's transport or overnight information for this destination. Fixed hours, entry prices, camping provision and a scheduled boat service are not established.
