Ko Thong Lang

Ko Thong Lang is a physical island in Hat Sai Ri Subdistrict, Mueang Chumphon District, within Mu Ko Chumphon National Park. It is one of the small Gulf islands off the Chumphon coast, separate from the similarly named places found elsewhere in Thailand. DNP ranger reporting documents hawksbill-turtle nesting on the island. This makes its beach habitat a conservation interest, not a place to seek close contact with wildlife. Leave nests, tracks and marked beach areas undisturbed, and follow the park's directions on permitted access. Reachability depends on a suitable local boat arrangement and park permission. Confirm that an itinerary specifically includes Thong Lang rather than another island in the Chumphon group, and check marine weather and the return plan before leaving the mainland.
