About Lahan Subdistrict

Lahan (ละหาร) is a subdistrict in Sai Buri District, Pattani, distinct from Lahan in Yi-Ngo, Narathiwat, and from namesakes in other provinces. Institutional accounts link the local name with a stream and describe settlement growing around a dependable source of water.

The area combines higher ground and hills with a Sai Buri River section around Moo 5. Village institutions include the Lahan and Wang Chai school localities. The river setting is relevant to planning: official reports document substantial flooding in Lahan during exceptional wet periods, so a high-ground description should not be applied to every road or village.
