About Lamae Subdistrict
Lamae (ละแม) is both a district name and the name of this subdistrict in Chumphon. Community Development Department records identify twenty villages, including Pak Nam Lamae, Hat Sung, Laem Santi, Khlong Song and the Lum Phawa communities.
The tambon reaches the Gulf of Thailand to the east and adjoins Suan Taeng, Thung Luang and Thung Kha Wat. Its wider landscape includes coastal settlements and communities further inland.
Lamae Municipality covers only part of the tambon. Municipal community totals therefore do not represent all twenty administrative villages. For travel or local enquiries, identify the particular village, coastal destination or district-centre address instead of using the broad Lamae name alone.
