About Mae Thom Subdistrict
Mae Thom (ตำบลแม่ทอม) is a subdistrict in Bang Klam District, Songkhla. The Land Development Department identifies six villages, including Nong Hin, Mae Thom, Hua Non Wat, Mae Thom Tok and Na Rang Nok.
The terrain is mainly flat within the Songkhla Lake basin, with Khlong U Taphao and Khlong Nong Muang among important water resources. Ministry of Culture research documents Wat Khu Tao's architectural and conservation significance in Mae Thom; the temple is a specific cultural place within the wider tambon.
Check temple access and any cultural visit arrangements directly. Respect worshippers and seek permission for interior photography. Use the actual temple or village address, and check canal-side road conditions following heavy rain rather than navigating to the administrative reference point.
