About Paen Subdistrict
Paen (แป้น) is a subdistrict of Sai Buri District in Pattani. It contains several village communities and should be distinguished from an individual school, farm or temple carrying the same name. Wat Chulamani, commonly called Wat Paen, is one established religious landmark in the area.
Water supply and drainage are important to local farming. The Royal Development Projects Board documents an irrigation scheme for the model farm at Ban Pak Khwang in Moo 8, combining water storage, distribution and wet-season drainage. This is a specific project within the tambon, not evidence that every farm is open to visitors.
Arrange visits to agricultural projects through the responsible contact and confirm the actual entrance. For temple visits, dress respectfully and check local access around ceremonies. Use a full village address for transport, and ask about lowland road conditions following prolonged rain.
