About Pak Phayun Subdistrict

Pak Phayun (ปากพะยูน) is a subdistrict of Pak Phayun District, Phatthalung, associated with the district centre beside Songkhla Lake. The district police record lists six villages within the tambon.

Municipal history describes the old Amphoe Kao community as a former passenger-boat stopping place on routes linking lake settlements. It also records Wat Thammaprayun as a community temple and the later district-office location at Bang Teng, Moo 3.

The historical boat account does not establish a current ferry timetable. The municipality and wider tambon also have different scopes, so use the exact office, community or lakeside destination when seeking directions rather than relying on the general administrative point.
