About Phawong Subdistrict
Phawong (พะวง) is a subdistrict of Mueang Songkhla. General Prem Tinsulanonda Historical Park is a notable local site near Highway 408 and the mainland approach to the bridge towards Ko Yo.
The tourism administration describes a park combining historical interpretation, landscaped grounds and a mangrove learning area. A provincial public-relations report on a 2026 planting and crab-release activity also identifies the park in Phawong. Those features belong to a particular park within the tambon; the administrative destination covers a broader community area. Check the park's own information when planning access to its buildings or learning spaces.
