About Rawa Subdistrict
Rawa (ระวะ) is a subdistrict in Ranot District, Songkhla. Its seven villages belong to the settled agricultural landscape of the Sathing Phra peninsula, between the Gulf of Thailand and the Songkhla Lake basin.
Village temples and schools provide useful local landmarks. The Ministry of Education records Wat Then Kaeo School in Rawa, while the Department of Local Administration lists the Wat Phrao early-childhood centre under Rawa's local authority.
Rawa is wider than a single village or council service area. Bo Tru Municipality includes parts of its Wat Phrao and Hua Yang villages; municipal statistics therefore need to be distinguished from figures for the whole subdistrict.
