A park for ecological learning

Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden, also known as Suan Sri, brings together recreation and ecological learning in Bang Kachao. The 148-rai park contains a 40-rai forest-restoration learning area, with routes through former orchard land and different wetland and lowland forest environments. It is managed through the Royal Forest Department’s Nakhon Khuean Khan Green Area and Eco-management Center. The park is a place to observe plants, birds, butterflies and other wildlife, or to combine a gentle outing with learning about the landscape. A dedicated cycling trail and a separate wheelchair-accessible nature trail offer different ways to explore. The exact map point is a park feature reference; follow local entrance signs when approaching.

Use the wheelchair nature trail

The Value of Nature trail is designed for wheelchair users and includes interpretation about copper pod, fishtail palm and curtain fig trees, ponds and fish. Its published duration is a guide rather than an access guarantee for every visitor.

Birdwatching through the year

The official guide describes both resident and winter-visiting birds and a raised tower for observation. Species seen will depend on conditions and season; a particular sighting is not guaranteed.

Look at the wetland habitats

The restoration area includes swamp, mangrove and lowland evergreen forest. Follow the interpretation along the routes to understand how tides, fresh water and former cultivation shape the vegetation.

Make the visit fit your mobility

A dedicated wheelchair trail is described, but the surfaced cycling loop also includes compacted dirt. Ask the park about current route condition and toilet access if either is essential for your visit.
