About Suan Taeng Subdistrict
Suan Taeng (สวนแตง) is a subdistrict in Lamae District, Chumphon. Its local development plan describes ten villages with varied settings, rather than one uniform coastal settlement.
Villages 6 and 9 occupy plains beside the Gulf of Thailand. Other villages are on flatter inland land, while Villages 1, 7, 8 and 10 include foothill or higher terrain.
These differences are useful when locating an address: the subdistrict name alone does not identify the coast or a particular beach approach. This Suan Taeng belongs to Chumphon and should be distinguished from the same-name administrative area in Suphan Buri, whose agricultural and school records describe a different place.
