About Takhian Thong Subdistrict
Takhian Thong (ตำบลตะเคียนทอง) is a subdistrict of Kanchanadit District, Surat Thani. Government research identifies it among the district's coastal tambons facing the Ban Don Bay environment.
The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources records community mangrove work at Ban Takhian Thong in village 4, including activities around Wat Wachira Pradit and Khlong Cheng-a. These reports document local participation in mangrove restoration and learning, rather than an attraction with a fixed visitor programme. The tambon is separate from identically named places in other provinces.
Arrange any community or mangrove visit with local hosts and confirm tides and the intended access. Past planting events do not establish an open boardwalk or scheduled tour. Use the actual village or temple address instead of the tambon's reference point.
