About Talat Subdistrict
Talat (ตลาด) belongs to Mueang Surat Thani District. The provincial authority locates Surat Thani City Pillar Shrine on Na Mueang Road within this tambon, and the public prosecutor office independently identifies its river-side premises on the same road in Talat. This gives the name a specific civic and urban geography: it is an administrative unit, not simply the Thai word for a market or the whole Surat Thani municipality.
Use the particular street, landmark and building for directions. A search for Talat alone can return markets and same-named tambons in other provinces. The administrative map reference is separate from the shrine gate, a market entrance or a public-office reception.
