About Tamot Subdistrict

Tamot (ตำบลตะโหมด) is a subdistrict in Tamot District, Phatthalung. Wat Tamot is an important local community reference, while the wider district also includes the separate tambons of Mae Khri and Khlong Yai.

Khao Hua Chang's local authority presents a community account of trade across the Banthat range between the Palian side and the Songkhla Lake region. It associates Ban Khao Hua Chang with this route and describes waterways joining the Tha Maduea system. This is cultural and geographic context, not confirmation of an open cross-mountain walking route.

Use a precise temple, village or host address when planning a visit. Confirm access directly before travelling into foothill areas; a historic trade account does not establish a marked trail. Tamot municipality and neighbouring local authorities cover administrative jurisdictions that should not be confused with the whole district.
