About Tapaen Subdistrict

Tapaen (ตะแพน) is a subdistrict of Si Banphot District, Phatthalung. Community research places it in the headwater zone along the Banthat foothills, with hills, ridges and settlements beside forested uplands.

The research connects Tapaen's community history with the use of upstream forests and the development of roads linking foothill settlements to the lake-basin plains. It also identifies the upper Tha Nae water system in this area.

These accounts concern communities and landscapes rather than a single managed attraction. A visit to a village, forest edge or watercourse needs a precise local destination; the administrative map reference does not identify a permitted hiking route or an entrance into protected land.
