About Tha Yu Subdistrict
Tha Yu (ตำบลท่าอยู่) is a subdistrict in Takua Thung District, Phang Nga, west of Phang Nga Bay. University research describes hill and coastal-plain terrain, with the Bang Lam range feeding Khlong Bang Lam.
The Anthropology Centre's village account locates Ban Tha Yu in village 2 and describes mixed farming, including liang vegetables grown among rubber trees. Its naming history links the community with an older landing associated with a resident called Ta Yu; this is an attributed local account, rather than evidence of a surviving passenger pier.
Choose the specific village, farm or institution for travel. Arrange agricultural visits with the host, and confirm current road directions rather than relying on historical river travel. The administrative reference point is not a public landing or farm entrance.
