About Thung Yai Subdistrict
Thung Yai (ทุ่งใหญ่), code 901111, belongs to Hat Yai District, Songkhla. The Department of Mineral Resources provincial inventory identifies Ton Ya Plong Waterfall at Ban Phru To, describes its rubber-garden setting and records the connection with the Khlong Khok Chang weir. Education records also place the Phru To community in this tambon. These named local features distinguish the area from Thung Yai District in Nakhon Si Thammarat and other same-named places.
Use the full Hat Yai and Songkhla address and the specific community name. An older geological inventory does not confirm present visitor access, swimming conditions or facilities at a waterfall. Ask locally before visiting, and use an actual entrance or meeting point rather than the administrative reference coordinate.
