About Tuyong Subdistrict
Tuyong (ตุยง), administrative code 940305, belongs to Nong Chik District, Pattani. Prince of Songkla University records the relocation of the old Nong Chik administrative centre to Tuyong because its canal connection supported waterborne communication and trade. Nong Chik Municipality covers parts of villages 1, 2 and 4, according to its development plan. The modern tambon therefore extends beyond the compact municipal service area.
Distinguish an address in Tuyong tambon from one referring only to Nong Chik Municipality or the district as a whole. Use the institution, road or village for the final approach. The administrative map reference is not a canal landing and does not locate every office in the district seat.
