About Wang Won Subdistrict
Wang Won (วังวน), code 920205, belongs to Kantang District, Trang. The national anthropology centre documents Ban Laem in village 3 on a projecting river-side tract near the Palian estuary. Fishing has been central to that communitys livelihoods, with settlement linked to the surrounding river and coastal resources. Ban Laem is one component of the wider tambon rather than a substitute for its administrative boundary.
For a fishing-community visit or boat arrangement, identify the host and actual departure point in advance. An administrative coordinate does not establish a pier or tidal access route. Use Wang Won together with Kantang District to distinguish it from same-named tambons elsewhere in Thailand.
