About Wang Yai Subdistrict
Wang Yai (วังใหญ่) is a subdistrict of Thepha District, Songkhla. The local authority records eight villages and describes a predominantly rural community with farming and local trade.
Ban Khlong Yo, Village 1, is one of its communities. The council places it southwest of the district centre and records a local naming tradition connecting Khlong Yo with the yo trees grown around the settlement.
The council's historical account also links the formation of Wang Yai to the earlier Tha Yi administrative area. This is the Thepha tambon, distinct from Wang Yai subdistricts in Sukhothai, Nakhon Sawan and Phetchabun. Use a village-level address for a particular local destination.
