About Wat Khanun Subdistrict
Wat Khanun (ตำบลวัดขนุน) is a subdistrict in Singhanakhon District, Songkhla. Its name denotes an administrative area, rather than only a temple or temple entrance.
Fine Arts Department material locates the ancient Pa O community by its canal in Wat Khanun and records pottery-production evidence there. The wider archaeological landscape extends across several modern tambons. Contemporary provincial community records also identify a village 3 food group producing dried tai pla, connecting present-day livelihoods with this settled landscape.
Confirm the particular archaeological location, temple or producer before travelling. Archaeological evidence does not imply an excavated site with unrestricted access or staffed visitor facilities. Use an actual destination address, and seek permission before entering private land or workshops.
