Vehicles can approach near the temple; the hall is reached by a long staircaseAbout this place
Wat Khao Takiap stands on the hill at the southern end of Hua Hin in Nong Kae. A long flight of steps leads to the worship hall, which receives people coming to pray as well as visitors exploring the coast. From the temple, the view looks along the shoreline towards Hua Hin.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand describes an approach by car or songthaew to a point near the temple; reaching the hall still involves stairs. Plan the visit around your ability to climb, and agree the drop-off and return journey before setting out. The hill is home to wild monkeys, so keep a close watch on bags and loose belongings.
TAT lists visiting hours of 09:00–17:30 and worship without an admission charge. Check local arrangements before a special trip, particularly around religious ceremonies. The map point marks the temple site and should not be treated as a confirmed step-free entrance.
