What has changed
Diwali Pattaya Festival 2026 is scheduled for 13–15 November on Central Pattaya Beach, with city officials now coordinating how the celebration will share a busy waterfront with other events.
Reports published on 29 October describe a preparatory meeting at Pattaya City Hall involving government agencies, organisers and the Thai-Indian Business Association of Pattaya. Wisitsak Wongworachat, director of the city’s Tourism Development Division, chaired the meeting on the mayor’s behalf.
Three events need space on the waterfront
The Diwali plans coincide with a beach volleyball competition in front of Central Pattaya and Chonburi Coffee on the Beach opposite the Hard Rock Hotel during the same 13–15 November period, according to the Thai-language report by Ban Muang.
Officials and organisers are discussing the allocation of space for stalls, equipment and decorations so the activities can operate alongside one another while retaining appropriate public access.
Safety and access are being planned
The preparations cover electrical systems, security, traffic management, medical support and emergency vehicles, along with cleaning, waste collection, mobile toilets and public information.
The reports describe coordination in progress. They do not provide a final road-closure map or an hour-by-hour public programme. Visitors should check the latest city and organiser announcements before assuming a particular approach road, parking area or beachfront section will be available.
What to do before making plans
For anyone booking accommodation or arranging to meet friends, use the confirmed festival dates as the starting point, then check the final activity locations and times closer to the weekend. Allow extra flexibility when travelling around the central beachfront, where the three events may attract overlapping crowds.
Businesses planning deliveries or customer access should confirm arrangements directly with their premises and the relevant organisers. Keep pedestrian routes clear and follow on-site directions.
The festival is intended to celebrate cultural links between Thailand and India while supporting tourism and local traders. Today’s development is the city’s coordination of the event; the celebration itself takes place in November.
