About Bala Subdistrict

Bala (บาละ) is one of the two subdistricts in Kabang District, Yala. Its foothill landscape extends south towards the Malaysian boundary, while Kabang Subdistrict lies to the north. The tambon includes Ban Bala, Khlong Nam Sai, Khotch Sila and Chulabhorn Phatthana 11 among its separate communities.

Streams and water management help explain the farming landscape. The Royal Development Projects Board documents irrigation from the Chulabhorn Phatthana 11 weir serving orchards and households in several Bala villages. Khlong Nam Sai's name is itself linked to the clear-water stream that separated it from the older Bala village.

Choose the particular community before arranging a countryside visit. A whole-subdistrict point does not identify the Chulabhorn village, a weir entrance or a border crossing. Ask your host for a road landmark and return-transport plan, and obtain permission before entering orchards, household plots or community facilities.
