About Ban Tai Subdistrict
Ban Tai (ตำบลบ้านใต้) is a subdistrict of Ko Pha Ngan District, Surat Thani. It covers several communities on Ko Pha Ngan island, rather than only the beachfront settlement usually called Ban Tai.
Public-health records identify six villages, including Na Thap, Ban Nok, Ban Nuea, Ban Khai, Thong Nai Pan and Hat Rin. Municipal documents place Hat Rin's inner and outer beaches within this tambon. July 2026 industry reporting also records a coconut-growers' enterprise producing coconut milk and oils, reflecting livelihoods beyond tourism.
Choose the actual beach or village address before travelling; Thong Nai Pan and Hat Rin have different approaches. Arrange producer visits directly. The administrative reference point is neither a party venue nor a ferry terminal, and local notices should be checked for current conditions.
