About Bang Ngon Subdistrict

Bang Ngon (บางงอน) is a subdistrict in Phunphin District, Surat Thani. A Suratthani Rajabhat University community field-study book records local accounts of settlement along the Phum Duang River, when waterways were important for travel and exchange.

Rubber production is part of the local economy. Ministry of Agriculture records identify a community enterprise supporting Bang Ngon's rubber growers in Village 5.

These accounts describe a living riverside and agricultural community, with separate villages and organisations rather than a single visitor site. The local authority is based in Village 4. Use the appropriate village and destination when arranging a journey or enquiry within the wider tambon.
