About Bannang Sareng Subdistrict
Bannang Sareng (ตำบลบันนังสาเรง) is a subdistrict in Mueang Yala District, Yala. It should not be confused with Bannang Sata District farther south. Its villages occupy a landscape influenced by the Pattani River and nearby hill catchments.
Royal Development Projects Board records explain the development of the Bueng Bo Ngo group of ponds and connecting waterways to improve water storage and relieve flooding. Rice fields, rubber gardens and fruit-growing areas benefit from local water management. The ponds are working infrastructure within settled communities rather than evidence of a uniformly managed visitor park.
Arrange a visit to a particular village or water-management site with a local contact. Ask about permitted access and current flood conditions before approaching banks, canals or embankments. The SAO's website is the appropriate contact route for local services; the subdistrict marker is not a public recreation entrance.
