About Che He Subdistrict

Che He (เจ๊ะเห), code 960201, is an administrative subdistrict of Tak Bai in Narathiwat. Community research locates the Tak Bai market here and traces its development on land associated with Wat Chonthara Singhe. Trading households of Thai Buddhist, Malay Muslim and Chinese heritage form part of that history, including the local salted-threadfin tradition. Che He covers more than the market itself, and the tambon, town municipality and individual riverside communities should retain their separate geographic identities.

Use a named market, temple, village or office address within Che He. The municipality identifies its office in village 1, but that office is not the reference point for the whole tambon. For market visits, local food purchases or riverfront activities, confirm the current venue and route with the host. Border-travel arrangements require the designated official crossing and should not be inferred from an ordinary riverside address.
