About Choeng Thale Subdistrict
Choeng Thale (เชิงทะเล) is a subdistrict of Thalang on Phuket's western coast. A community study published by the National Institute for Emergency Medicine describes foothill ground facing the sea, with hills running parallel to the shoreline and Bang Tao Bay forming a prominent coastal feature.
Surin Beach is separately located in Choeng Thale by the Department of Mineral Resources. The administrative tambon includes more than one beach community and should not be equated with a single resort area. Coastal access points, beach conditions and individual business arrangements need to be checked for the actual location being visited.
